Youth Are Crying: English Translation

Verse One:
I woke up with the loud noise of motorbikes
I looked at my watch and it was two A.M.
I was on the thirteenth floor of a small hotel;
I was so irritated by the noise and got angry—
I called the front desk to complain.

Verse Two:
I said to the front desk, "I can't sleep because of the bike noise,"
"Would you call the police to stop that noise?"
As I headed to the bathroom, I was still feeling mad.

Verse Three:
As I was lying on my bed, staring at the ceiling;
I heard a very sad voice and my eyes filled with tears.
My heart and that young man's heart become intertwined—
I realized it was the same feeling I felt when I was young;
It was the feeling of not being understood and accepted.

Chorus:
Youth are crying,
Driving loud bikes through the night where there are no souls.
Youth are crying,
And I am crying too.

Verse Four:
Grownups will sacrifice their own kids to the gods of selfish conveniences
to make themselves rich and comfortable.
That's right, they are sacrificing the souls of their kids.
Parents can not hear the cries of their kids because of the loud noise of their own party.
And no one knows how long this hell-raising party will last.

Second Chorus:
Youth are crying,
Standing by the vending machines at the edge of town.
Youth are crying,
I am crying too.

Verse Five:
Grownups are drowning in immorality
And don't look after their own families.
They embrace adultery in front of their kids without feeling shame.
No one comforts the crying that is coming out of the torn-up hearts;
The kids are riding their bikes in the darkness, feeling the hopelessness of life.

Third Chorus:
Youth are crying,
In the depths of their hearts which stare hopelessly at the ground.
Youth are crying,
I am crying too.

Youth who are now in their thirties are crying,
Also the youth who are now in their forties are crying.
The youth who are in their fifties are crying;
The youth who are in their sixties are crying.
The youth who are in their seventies and eighties are crying,
Youth are crying,
I am crying too,
Youth are crying.
I am . . .
